Katrina and Oil

I have allowed the employees here with long commutes to work 1-2 days from home since many of them can work at their full capabilities remotely.  I try to do my little part.  No one is speaking of the gross $s removed from the US economy by Katrina.  Rebuild or not is a debate, but the $ spent by companies in that area are now $0.  Is it 2% of the US Economy which has been eliminated? 3%?
