Three parallels:
1) What was in the mind of the 9/11 hijackers? How could the 9/11 hijackers do this? What did we do to a society which breads such venom against cultures and sub cultures.
2) Fast Forward to last week. What was in the mind of the American prison guards in Iraq? How could they treat other human beings like that? How could they have such contempt and hatred of another person? This went well beyond what we as a civil society should tolerate. This is a sad day for America. We pride ourselves on doing what is right! This was truly wrong!
3) Today we had the Al Queda beheading of Nicholas Berg.
What do these three incidents have in common? What do these people have in common?
NOTHING!
Weren't all of the victims unjustly tried?
